Hello and welcome to my website! I am an Assistant Professor of rural sustainability and economic development in the Agricultural and Applied Economics Department (AAEC) at Texas Tech University. I received a Ph.D. in applied economics from the University of Florida, USA.
I am an applied economist with a focus on agricultural and development issues. My research primarily relates to access to finance, migration, and rural development issues. I use randomized control trials and ex-post impact assessment studies to measure and evaluate the impact of different interventions. In addition to my policy publications, I have published in different academic journals, including the American Journal of Agricultural Economics, Empirical Economics, Food Policy, Journal of Agricultural Economics, Journal of Economic Behavior & Organization, and World Development.
